From first expense to settled up
A real, in-order walkthrough of the app. Every step below is something you'll actually do, not a feature list dressed up as steps.
Log an expense
Enter the amount, pick a category, and attach a receipt photo if you want a record. Takes a few seconds, no forced fields you don't care about.
Set a budget cap
Give any category a monthly limit. Xabit tracks your progress against it automatically and alerts you at 80 percent, then again when you go over.
Split it, if it's shared
Send the expense to a group. Each person sees their share and has to approve it before it counts against their balance — nobody gets a surprise total.
Settle up
See who owes what across the group at a glance. If you're sharing a trip, turn on live location for the group map, entirely optional.
Read your report
At the end of the month, get a spending personality report built from what you actually logged — not a prediction, a summary of your own data.
